I got to JHU EP Online Grad School for a Masters of Applied Biomedical Engineering. The amount of work for the classes varies between professors. But all the professors I've had thus far seem really passionate about what they teach. That helps me as a student. The online class is really well done and I have no problem interfacing with professors or other group members.

I am pursing a masters program in Biotechnology with a focus on Bioinformatics. While i am thrilled to be here at JHU, the financial burden has made it very difficult for me to continue being successful in the program. In addition, the student population is not very diverse and it's often difficult for me to connect with other students within and outside of my program. Overall, it is a good program and i am happy to be enrolled in it, but i believe with additional resources, it could be much better... Read More

The Biotechnology program is very flexible- it allowed me to continue working full-time, which was perfect for me. The online classes encourage a lot of discussion and participation, and the level of discourse is high. Since the school is private, the tuition is gastronomical.

The school is great for people who are looking to get into public health. The downfall is that a lot of the teachers aren't very accessible so if you are struggling with coursework, they won't always be open or willing to meet with you in person. The major downfall is the cost of the institution and lack of aid available in the form of scholarships, grants, or tuition waivers. I am in a lot of debt because of this school.

As I am just beginning my degree it is difficult rate JHU in all of the above categories. So far everything I have dealt with through the university has gone very smoothly and been very positive. I look forward to completing my education with JHU.

My courses so far in the Biotechnology masters program have been awesome! I worried that the online format would not be as challenging and fulfilling as in-person courses, but the online classes have given me the challenge I expected out of graduate-level courses at an institution like JHU. My instructors have been wonderful and highly accessible.

The graduate program is great, professors are easy to talk to, courses are challenging. However, the tuition cost is very high. I understand JHU is a world recognized school but I think this great education should be financially accessible to all.

Pros: Most professors are incredibly interested in ensuring students are mastering the necessary materials. Extremely diverse student body. Free parking. Most faculty is incredibly helpful. Very close to NCI and NIH. Cons: Financial Aid Office. Expensive area to live in. Difficult to plan ahead future class schedules for future semesters.

I am a full-time employee at Johns Hopkins and I chose to go back to school to pursue a Masters degree in Biotechnology. The classes are very expensive and it has been difficult to afford more than 2 classes a year.

I am in a MS in Bioinformatics Program. I truly only have good things to say about it. I find it challenging and educational. So, I definitely think it is worth the cost.
