Degree: Educational Leadership

I received more feedback on my APA citation that I did the actual content of my papers. All the school does is papers and discussion boards. There’s really no collaboration, really no learning about the actual profession. It’s all fake, just writing papers to make yourself look good and know what you’re talking about. I do not feel prepared for the exams for certification either. There’s just so much writing I got burnt out. Professors are old and haven’t been in the classroom and decades!!

The program was fine for getting my Masters however one VERY important thing to note is that I missed one 5 week course in the winter of 2016 due to illness and it set back my graduation date by an ENTIRE YEAR. For some reason, even though the classes are online and all the materials are available upfront- they only offer the courses in a certain rotation. I didnt realize this when I applied and certainly would have powered thru if I knew. So now I have to wait until Spring of 2019 to take my last... Read More

The online masters program at Lamar University has enabled me to further my education at a reasonable cost without taking a timeout from my career. The coursework has been directly applicable to my experience in the classroom and my experience as a leader on my campus, and it has armed me with the skills and knowledge to better serve my students and colleagues.

This is an all online program so I cannot accurately attest to the social life and surrounding area, but found the courses to be challenging without completely overwhelming. Of course it take a certain fortitude for juggling work, school, and family and it's been by no means a walk in the park. It takes commitment and dedication.

I am a full time teacher and a single mom taking my Masters in Education online through Lamar University. I love the program, the staff, and the connection I have with all the students on our Facebook page. It is a very easy program to take and it is very helpful in my field.

Degree: Educational Leadership

I am enrolled in the Educational Technology Leadership Masters Program. I am finding this course of study to be invaluable. We live in a very digital society, and our kids are often more tech-savvy than teachers and parents. I am pleased to be among the number of leaders that will teach teachers how to integrate technology into their instruction. I am learning about more and more Web 2.0 tools which can be used to engage and motivate students.
