At the masters level I have often come across students and instructors that are not intellectually ready for coursework at the graduate level. While working on discussion posts and peer edits it is clear than SNHU has very low standards for academic writing and research.

The financial aid process is also ridiculous. I have gotten a refund as late as the 7th week of a term. In addition, SNHU reduces financial aid amounts randomly and requesting that they increase your loan amount is basically impossible.... Read More I requested a grad plus loan. I had a very difficult course that term and I wanted to reduce my work hours to spend more time studying. They refused to allow me to access those additional funds. Despite being approved for them through studentaid.gov.

If you attend this school you must understand that you will have to monitor everything they do financially. Every term you will have to send messages to verify tuition charges etc. The SNHU system doesn’t even allow me to see my account for this term. So I have no clue if my employer funding or aid has gone through.

Attended for 7 years straight from my mid twenties into my thirties. As a busy parent, business owner,and part time case worker the steady school schedule was perfect. My weeks over the past several years were easy to follow. The instruction quality was stellar overall. I noticed that many of my professors were not simply instructors in my latter years with Snhu (PhDs). Most if not all, had a presence or worked full time in the fields of their instructor. Let me give you an example, my final term... Read More professor possessed an Undergrad from Cornell, additional degrees from Northeastern, and John Hopkins School of Medicine. I've had no less than a dozen Ivy and tier 1 grad instructors and professors. This should give you some sense of the clout and attractiveness of the school to their professors. I found most classes to have varying degrees of challenge, that being said, in all honesty, I didn't need to purchase most books and found that maintaining my B average was easy enough with online research or using their very helpful Shapiro Library online. I effectively attended two classes per term, two to 3 days of work per week, with an additional day periodically in order to complete 30- 40 page papers. I loved this school, and I'm working on my final degree with them now. Out of graduation, I secured a position just shy of 3 figures, but with additional streams of revenue... Fill in the blank. Make this decision!!

Hello everyone. I have nothing but great things to write about the education I have received here at SNHU. The professors have all been responsive, engaging and leaders in the field of public health. This type of online education truly is you get what you put in. The professors here have an expectation that you have a 4-year education. The masters level programs are geared more towards analytical synthesis of information. You are not expected to simply memorize information. The professors are here... Read More to guide you along the way, provide you with excellent resources and fairly grade you versus the rubric. My advisor reaches out to me regularly even just to check in. I am in the process of applying for doctorate programs in public health and I am curious to see how SNHU is looked at by these universities since the public health program is not CEPH accredited. Of course, the university itself is accredited.

I was incredibly happy with my SNHU experience. I was not satisfied with my undergraduate experience at another local school, and wanted to try a different approach through an online campus for my graduate courses. I had an admissions advisor right from the start who made applying to SNHU easy, and exciting, and my current advisor has worked with me every step of the way to make sure I have the courses I need, and I'm succeeding in those courses.
