I have to be honest. I was in a Master's of Public Administration program and was one class away from graduating. I ran out of funds when I stopped going. The classes were easy. If you just want a degree without learning anything or putting in much work then this school is perfect for you. If you actually want to learn or be challenged this isn't the school for you. I had professors that just gave A's without actually looking at your work. In one online class I was taking I used to turn in the same... Read More work every week and received the same great comments and an A in the class. All of the work and answers can be found online already completed by many other students. In one Master's level in person class I was taking we were discussing Amazon, Facebook, and online banking that it was all brand new. The class was more like a basic introductory class. However, the school is regionally accredited. The school is also a bit expensive but, for little effort you can get a Master's degree that any college will accept if you just want the class credit.

My experience with Strayer was definitely one that I enjoyed. I currently hold my Bachelors in Business Administration specialty HR and minor is Web design from Strayer from 2010 and Masters in Public Administration from Strayer University. Strayer staff and faculty are very knowledgeable and the classes are structured in a way that made it possible for a single mother to take care of her family, work and further her education. As with any school or class to succeed you have to apply yourself.

The pros of the graduate program with Strayer is the stellar construct and design itself. It promotes a strenious discipline and challenging curriculum which provides interventions of faculty and staff that are helpful and promote a caring atmosphere. The opportunity to explore the emphasis,theory,concepts,interdisciplinary overview and analytical approach to public administration is an instrumental development in preparing students with an overview in structure, systems, and policies within this... Read More given field. The cons of the program would be the lack of educational notariety and recognition given to University.

A pro of the Strayer University graduate program was that I was able to balance school and going to work. I was able to work it around my schedule. A second pro is that that you had the option of taking classes online or going to a satellite campus. There was a campus less than 2 miles from my house that had access to. So if a class was not offered online that quarter, I can take it at the campus and vice versa. Another pro about the program is that the professors have real-life experience that can... Read More relate to classroom experience and projects. A of the program is that it could be difficult is accessibility to financial aid staff / counselor. I was assigned to one person but I could barely get in contact with her and she never returned phone calls so I ended up just always going to the lady who was at first a part of admissions when I started my graduate program but luckily for me she was switched to financial aid. I trusted her judgement and counseling. Overall I had a wonderful graduate experience at Strayer University.
