UCF always felt like a home to me, despite its huge campus and student body. Within my specific major I found lots of resources and support. Peer advisors were especially helpful because it was advice given from actual students who took the same classes I did. I also enjoyed most of my classes, and those classes I found difficult, the professors and teaching assistants always took the time to help me understand concepts and prepare for exams. UCF also offered a wonderful "college experience", with... Read More

The Psychology undergraduate program at UCF is incredible. I thoroughly enjoyed my time. The campus is beautiful and the environment is all around pleasant. The psychology degree requires you to choose a track which was not available during my time, but I think it is extremely helpful. These tracks include clinical, industrial/organizational, neuroscience, experimental, human factors, or general. These tracks help students gear their electives to their interests. For example if you are on the clinical... Read More

The University of Central Florida is the home of diversity and inclusion. They have a diverse faculty and diverse students attending the institution. My most prominent experience are the organizations and campuses provided for students at the institution. These experiences range from social to professional organizations and include diversity in mind. The standards of the professors are at a 3.5 in my eyes. UCF could do a better job at hiring more faculty and well-versed faculty.

The psychology program at the University of Central Florida is a great program. Although I do not remember all the professors I had, I do remember having instructors that were professional, knowledgeable, and passionate about what they taught. This helped enhance my learning experience and I am very thankful for that.

UCF is a great school, although it is very big there are plenty of activities and clubs around campus to get involved in so that you don't feel lost in the crowd of 60,000+ students. Most professors are great and helpful. Parking is horrible, so make sure to arrive on campus early so that you can find a parking stop and go to class.

I can honestly say, I fully enjoyed my experience at UCF. It was a university that made you feel comfortable and had tremendous school spirit. There was always something going on and the campus is beautiful. The professor were pretty good for the most part.

Located in Orlando, FL, the University of Central Florida provides their large number of students with vast opportunities no matter what degree program you're in. For Psychology, I felt that the Psychology advising department gave me the leg up on any psych-related opportunities and assisted me in engaging with extra-curricular activities in the university. Although class sizes, online or on campus, can be larger than expected, students are given opportunities to connect with others and their professor... Read More

My experience at UCF has been nothing short of amazing! My professors have been so enthusiastic about teaching and are more than willing to help when asked! The program is easy to follow, but advisers are always available to guide you through the process!

The University of Central Florida is the second largest school in the nation. The psychology program is one of the largest at the school. If you do not need hands on attention, this school could be everything you ever dreamed of. The amount of diversity this school has is amazing. Every day I met someone new. Even just watching others from afar gave me a truly different insight on life. I pursued a major with a minor and I am off to complete my doctorates and the professors at UCF are who I have... Psychology is the largest major program at UCF, and they definitely have the respective resources. The professors want you to excel, there are research and volunteer opportunities everywhere, and overall the Psychology major program has a lot of great people who will help you succeed in your future careee path, as well as give you a good idea of who your competition will be in the workforce. Overall, I have enjoyed my time spent at UCF. I feel that my education here has value. I had several great professors that made me eager to learn and even more excited about my field, psychology. I did take a few transient courses at a community college. To compare the rigor, there is no competition. I felt as if I was back in high school when I took a few general education courses at the local community college. UCF challenges you to do things you have never done before, however it wasn't impossible;e.... Read More

The University of Central Florida is an outstanding institution to come to, network, have fun, and get an education. The psychology degree program has plenty to offer and jobs can be found around the greater Orlando and Tampa area after completion of work. There's internships, labs, and many more things you can do in order to be successful enough to learn and get into a nice Master's degree program and Doctorate's. I can't really say much but UCF has everything any student would need. It's big, there's... Read More

I did Direct Connect, a program where if you are accepted to UCF from the local Junior College, you enter in as a junior. Classes were offered at the same junior college for UCF as there are UCF campuses sharing the junior college campus. Some of the students are very involved. The interdisciplinary studies department at UCF is not for everyone. One has to do most of the work yourself because there is not much guidance. You are severely restricted with what classes you can take because each department doesn't consider you a student. I wasn't able to take upper level classes in education or psychology because I wasn't considered a student in their department even though I was a declared IDS student with those selected disciplines. Every semester was a struggle for classes.... Read More

The University of Central Florida is definitely worth going to. They always have events going on in order to show school spirit. There's concerts, movie nights, pool parties and Light Up UCF is the best. The people there are usually nice and the teachers are not too bad. I would definitely utilize every tool on campus. Talk to advisors, go out for clubs, get to know teachers. It will definitely help you in the end. All in all, the experience was one of the best of my life.

I went to Valencia Community College and received my Associates degree, and then finished my Bachelors Degree at UCF. I loved being a student at UCF for many reasons. I found the Professors to be helpful, inspiring, motivating and passionate about helping students learn and achieve success with the classes. The UCF experience was great. The psychology program is very good and there are a ton of opportunities to conduct research or work in a lab. The campus is very large and can be difficult to navigate at first. If you do not have a car or know how to skateboard, you will need a bike. Overall amazing school, professors, and program! Large library, tons of places to study, and friendly environment. The only downside is the large class sizes!

Good fit due to size of classes and campus feel. College experience was nice overall.

Would you get the same degree if you could start over?

Yes, but only because I love working in the field of my degree. The pay is horrible.

What advice can you offer other students?

Figure out what job opportunities are available and if possible continue to graduate school. Seek internships and experience prior to graduating.
