UCF was a great school and the Nicoholson school provided me with good opportunities for internships. However, I don't feel my classes are what led me to become a critical thinker or aided in my development as a successful adult. I was one out of over 100 in each of my classes, where lecture slides were more prominent than conversation. For the price of an undergraduate degree, I gained access to interviews and the ability to apply to graduate school, but not much else.

UCF has a great radio and television program, but it must be noted that general education classes and lower-level radio/tv courses often have a very large number of students (150-250, easily). Because of that, it can be difficult to really engage in class and connect with the professor on an individual level. The value for the degree is good because UCF is a state school, and if you are from the state of Florida, the cost of attendance is quite low compared to other schools.

The professors at UCF are committed to teaching their students. In the three years I spent there, every member of their staff cared more about their students than their paycheck. Often times I would find that the professor would grade assignments on the spot and would even answer emails in the middle of the night. The institution was not an easy A, but if you want professors that challenge you and do everything in their power to insure you succeed after collage, then UCF's Digital Media program is... Read More

I attended the Nicholson School of Communication at the University of Central Florida where I received my degree studying Interpersonal & Organizational Communication. While I loved the overall University and it's campus culture, this degree program left much to be desired. I believe this degree program isn't even offered any more. I left this program feeling unprepared and honestly not sure how to apply the things I learned. It seemed like an itinerary of courses to check the box for your completion.... Read More

My whole experience felt like I was on a conveyor belt being shuffled along. I at no point felt like I was being cared for by the faculty or staff. However, Orlando was an awesome city to live in and the people of UCF are amazing. I just struggled with the structure of the communications department.

The University of Central Florida is a great campus with a lot to offer current and future students. With a variety of clubs and activities, it is an ideal college to attend. While all of the degrees offered by the college are great, there are some that are lacking in setting students up for a career after graduation. With that said, take extra care in choosing UCF for certain programs and do your homework on each degree. UCF has so much to offer if your are willing to take advantage of it all.

I love UCF as my undergraduate choice of study. There are plenty of resources and so many degree programs to choose form. The college location is perfect for first time college goers and has so much to offer

I gave the University of Central Florida a review of average because I think that I did not graduate with he above average knowledge that I would get compared to other seemingly better schools. I do believe my freshman year was above average. I learned a lot from UCF in my first year because they used to have an outstanding first year program. After your freshmen year it seems as if you're on your own but that could be where the real work begins in growing into an adult. For my major specifically... Read More

Deciding to attend the University of Central Florida was one of the best decisions of my life. There are so many opportunities at this school that are always a short reach away. The professors not only taught well but were confidants and sincere to their students. I still keep in contact with some of them and they truly care about where I am going.
