University of Central Florida is a great school. However, the politics behind the scenes was very frustrating. Let me say upfront, that I went to a satellite campus and the staff was very small and my cohorts were not team players. I had my adviser come out point blank and tell me that basically he found it very hard to believe that when I stated facts with eyewitnesses, that they were true. When I went to the main campus, what usually took me months to take care of at the satellite campus, was resolved... Read More

Becoming a teacher has been a dream come true. I have always wanted to become a teacher, ever since age 4. It has been a wonderful career and very fulfilling and rewarding. It is also extremely difficult and challenging, but I feel it is all worth it in order to help children and have an impact on their lives. University of Central Florida (UCF) was a great school to attend for my last two years. To save money, I chose to attend Seminole State College for two years to earn an associate's degree.... This is one of the best teacher prep programs in the state. I learned so much from the professors at UCF and it was all things that could be applied right away into the classroom. I am so happy I decided on UCF for my undergrad in Education. The degree program is highly respected in the state, and employers know what a degree in education from UCF means. Education is always changing and UCF takes the initiatives to keep up with the changing technology and theories to make sure that their students... Read More

Professors are very interested in assuring students get the most from their education, at least in the Elementary Education program. The program offers not only the degree but Reading and ESOL endorsements (they are integrated into the program). Additionally, the staff works with students to build minors and certificates onto the major, often using major courses for minor course requirements. Great school for Elementary Education!

As I embarked on a lifelong career, I enjoyed the experiences at UCF. This journey wasn't easy but it was all worth it at the end of my tedious journey. I had great professors, peers, and UCF workers that help me as well as instilling in me the knowledge that I can use throughout my career.
