Degree: Non-Profit Management
The pros and cons are mainly determined by the teacher. For example (and a big deal to me): the program is online, so as long as the professor is easily accessible via email, then the program is a pro. If one needs extra help with something and the professor takes days to respond to an email, then the online aspect of the program is a con. The overall con is not being able to form personal connections with the professors. They have so much to offer beyond the classroom and I wish I could have gotten... Read More

I really like this graduate program because they focus on career placement and encourage students to do more than just being in class. However, it is hard to have only classes online.

The pros of this program is that many universities are not offering this Masters program and the campus is very diverse. The cons of this program can be that it does not offer all of the courses on site.

I love my program. UCF is an excellent school. The only downfall I see is that the MNM program is offered strictly online and some people don't learn that way.

The master's program in nonprofit management is possible to complete 100% online, and personally I love this idea for graduate school. Currently, I am across the world - teaching English in Italy for 4 months - yet I am still able to participate, discuss, debate, and complete my master's online at UCF. This would not have been possible even 10 years ago! The freedom and flexibility are immeasurable. Many people think online classes are for those who want to skate by and to not do work, totally wrong.... Read More

I really appreciate the ability to do my masters in Non-Profit Management entirely online because it provided me the opportunity to travel to Italy for a semester teaching opportunity without disrupting my studies. I also think that the program does a great job of ensuring students have hands on practice with local non-profits. There are plenty of opportunities to get experience in every class from Program Evaluation, Grant Writing, and Volunteerism. UCF's Non-Profit Management Program is also nationally... Read More

My experience has only been pros for my graduate program at UCF thus far. The program is extremely flexible in that it offers an online alternative, which means I do not have to relocate. Additionally, the online tuition rate is less than the out of state tuition. The only con to my graduate experience at UCF is that I am not on campus as an online student, and therefore, can not take advantage of all of the wonderful opportunities offered for students in my program of study.
