The University of Cincinnati Masters program in Criminal Justice has been great thus far. First off, you are not required to take the GRE to be accepted to this college. Also, you are able to earn your degree in one short year if you enroll in the full time workload, or you can earn your degree in two years by enrolling part time. There is a lot of information taught in a short period of time, but the teachers assistants do a great job helping when ever needed. It is hard work, but it is worth it... Read More in the end. The main thing that I do not like is that the teachers assistants are in charge of grading papers, but this is understandable due to the large number of students enrolled in each course. I would recommend this college to anyone who is in search for a Masters degree in Criminal Justice.

The graduate program that I am enrolled in is online so it allows me the freedom to work around my full-time job, family and other responsibilities. Professors have been wonderful in preparing precise syllabi so that a student knows exactly what is expected of them for the entire semester. If there are questions or concerns, then the professors are happy to answer them not only to the asking student, but to all that are registered so that others may share in the information. The downside for me,... Read More although my choosing, is that I don't get the opportunity to work with other individuals face-to-face and all rapport is built over the internet. I actually live in the city of my University, but do not have the time to spare to sit in a traditional classroom and meet my fellow students.

The pro of my graduate program is that I am able to participate in the distance learning program. Upon researching, I found that the Univ. of Cincinnati was ranked in national top 3 in MS of Criminal Justice programs, but living in Indianapolis, that would be a far commute. With the use of blackboard and email communication, I have found that I am still receiving the same amount of education and attention as those who are "psychically" in class.
