The graduate program at the University of Memphis is very thorough. The teachers genuinely care and do everything necessary for students to succeed. There are outside resources on campus that are available for extra help with educational and personal concerns.

Great new Master's Program. I have great communication line with the director, financial aid correspondent and the teachers. I am just starting this specific program, which offers a Master's Certificate, so I cannot compare the courses yet, I can only say that starting out has been going well, and I hope to continue going well.

There are a lot of graduate research opportunities available for chemistry at the University of Memphis. Students can get involved in computational, organic synthesis, biochemistry, alternative fuels, analytical, and more. The faculty are very knowledgeable. There are several upper level classes available for most of the concentrations, but analytical chemistry (my conc.) only has a couple. The campus feels very safe; the surrounding area south of campus, however, does not.

Mostly, teacher is kind and exam is not tough, so it is easy to earn a degree, but it takes much extra efforts to master what you suppose to learn.

They often break and they extend the time required for a reaction. For example, an experiment that should only take a few hours of our time using an updated system, requires 7 to 8 days with the outdated version. There have often been times where we stay in the lab very late sometimes having to sleep there. In addition, the science program is not even rated... Read More
