All of the instructors throughout this process have made this experience memorable, I will certainly refer others to attend. When I decided to continue my education this school came with very high recommendations from others that had attended in the past and graduated.

My experience with the University of Phoenix has been positive and highly educational. initially started my academic journey here by earning my associate degree, which was a great experience. While I left for a time and explored other online schools, Including Strayer which was a good experience overall-I ultimately returned to the University of Phoenix because Strayer did not offer a doctoral program. I didn't hesitate to come back because I valued the knowledge I gained during my time at the University... Read More

I was skeptical at first to pursue an online degree but was quickly reassured. The professors were great, the dissertation process led me through to completion, and I have been able to apply what I learned on the job. Some parties are reluctant to go to a for profit school online and so was I at first. I have met numerous people who attended doctoral programs at brick and mortar schools who take 10 years to discover they will be permanently ABD. My chair got paid the same if i finished my dissertation... Read More

As an active duty military member striving to earn my doctoral degree, flexibility is absolutely essential to me due to the variance in geographic locations that I may venture to on a dimes notice. The University of Phoenix has captured that need and coupled it with great instructors that are extremely active within the online classroom. The curriculum aligns with the leadership and management faced within the military and extends even beyond! I am very excited to see what my future holds!

For anybody who is considering online coursework at the graduate or doctoral level, the University of Phoenix is a great university to attend. Compared to my collegiate experiences her in Ohio, UOPX has a very solid, rigorous doctoral program. In addition, faculty and students, alike, make academic success a priority. UOPX staff and advisors have stayed in constant contact throughout my doctoral journey. The information technology assistance is dedicated to triaging any issue a student may have with... Read More

I enrolled in University of Phoenix to work on a doctorate in management. Entrance into the school was easy, it took me a couple of classes to learn how to complete courses on-line but my GPA is 3.97 out of 4.0 so I did well in all of the courses; most were challenging, required a huge time commitment, but were good courses. The issues were with the dissertation process. Committee selection is critical and I chose a chair who was knowledgeable about my research method and topic, unfortunately, he... Read More

I believe there is academic rigor, online does not allow for more realistic interaction and in-depth discussion on certain topics and concepts. The program is flexible, so I can manage my time while I am learning and completing a doctorate degree. Sometimes this type of learning environment feel forced and isolated. The workload in some courses are unrealistic--too much to actually get in-depth learning.

Some of the faculty in my program were amazing educators. All had real-world experience and were very professional in how they conducted their classes. The program is fast-paced and hard work, but I always knew up front exactly what was required to succeed in every class. I have no regrets about choosing University of Phoenix.

Pros are that online is workable for work & life balance; Con there is little time to socialize when working on a doctorate degree.

I believe in self development and I also believe in Aristotle quote "education is the best provision for old age". Pursuing my doctorate is a great learning experince for me though I struggle with time management sometimes because I am working and schooling full time. i believe there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have to keep my focus to accomplish my goal.

Pros I am being challenged at the doctoral level and this is helping me to time manage my duties and priorities. Cons the financial burden is ridiculous however, I am determined to find a way to complete this degree.

I am very grateful for my Doctorate of Management at the UOP. My biggest complaint would have to be the financial cost as other schools are more affordable. I have been with UOP for over 5 years. I do like the online environment.

There is a lot of good information and diversity within the doctoral program. Overall, mostly everyone I have worked with has been supportive and helpful. Most of the curriculum is pretty good; however, sometimes it did not seem pertinent, and the workload can sometimes be heavy. While I understand the experience necessary for writing; I sometimes think that papers due every week is a little excessive.

The online program is a perfect fit for my busy schedule although meeting the weekly assignments can be challenging. Nonetheless, I could not have chosen a better fit to ensure I would be able to complete my doctoral degree in a reasonable amout of time that was affordable. I would recommend UoP to anyone interested in online class when the traditional classroom is no longer an option.
