I have had a terrible experience leading up to starting this course. My previous experience was phenomenal. I earned an IT degree and the entire process was great from enrollment to completion. I expected the same with the school of business. That was not the case. Communication was terrible. Being passed around to multiple people that I'm sure all have access to my personal information is a terrible idea. To sum up a 4 page letter, my graduation date was pushed back nearly 6 months waiting on communication errors to be fixed. I was as close to m fingers to my keyboard right not to saying stop the process. I'm not going to your school again. I, clearly, decided to stay and don't feel the best about the outcome. This has been the most disappointing experience I’ve had with any school. As a graduate, I find it unacceptable to be going through this situation. I would not recommend this school to anyone, and I deeply regret encouraging my cousin to enroll.

What’s most frustrating is that I called in advance to confirm whether I had any outstanding balances, and I was told there were none. Now I’m being informed that I owe money for a class from 2023—despite having graduated in 2025. This situation has left me confused and without clear answers for nearly three weeks. The lack of communication and transparency has been incredibly frustrating.

The University of Phoenix has been an amazing experience. I have been able to maintain my normal day to day life. I haven't had to chose between my job, my family, or getting my course work done. It's a flexible and manageable schedule that works for me. The instructor are very helpful and willing to work with you to get you through. In September of 2019 I decided it was time to use my G.I. Bill to attend college. I served in the Marines for 12 years 2001-2013 as a Supply Chief. The counselor instructed me to give him my SMART transcript so he could see how much of my military education would transfer over to UOP credits. To my surprise it was 50. Read More cases at the UOP. Not only was the work challenging but I could always get a hold of an instructor if I needed them. The one thing I don't care for is the group projects but luckily I had good partners. I worked a full time job 7pm-7am as a Production Manager and was still able to find the time to complete my program. You truly get what you put into it. The biggest gripe I hear is that they are for profit. I personally don't understand what the big deal is. What school isn't for profit. How do you expect to get new academic buildings built if you aren't making a profit? Whatever stigma the school about it being online should be erased by this point. Every school in America had to figure out how to convert their platform to online and UOP didn't. They are the best in the country at online learning. This past April 24th I graduated in Phoenix Arizona with a Bachelor's in Business Management. Before graduation I had been accepted into several MBA programs to include University of Tennessee, Penn State, Purdue University and University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The UOP had their graduation at the Arizona Diamondbacks Stadium. I must say the UOP sold me to come back and get my MBA. This was the most professional graduation I have ever attended which had to be hard because we were the first in person graduation since Covid-19 started. Now a month removed from graduation I was hired to be a Operations Manager for a Walmart Fulfilment Center which is a 6 figure job. I could not of been hired for this job without experience and a bachelors degree. One of the key things a learned in my undergrad that I use often is a SWOT analysis Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats in business. I would highly recommend this school to anyone especially if you are working fulltime and you are a parent. Don't listen to others do what's best for you!

I attended the University of Phoenix and left due to illness and I actually went back to complete my degree. I transferred every credit into another College I applied to, and no one questioned my credits. The enrollment team accepted every credit into their University. I took UOP because of my work schedule. It was difficult and different. However, it’s helped me get a better job and the school really works around your schedule. I think it just depends on who is your counselor and who are your professors. Is it pricy? Yes, but it’s very flexible. Now my daughter who is close to entering college is thinking about flexibility too. She is already taking college courses, from a community college, while in high school. Some students don’t learn from UOP but I did and took it seriously. I was worried about their accreditation, but I did a lot of digging. They are accredited but I don’t think for all their degrees they offer. Everyone has to make effort and not just assume. Its life.

Okay, I would like to start by saying when I read some of these reviews it is as if I am reading the sad excuses team members would make to not participate or do the work effectively at school. Like others said, you get what you put into it. I am studying a topic that is interesting to me but also that I have some knowledge on so it has been helpful and insightful. Read More they are posted immediately when the class begins so students know what is coming up. Always be aware that people want things to come easy. I have watched several people drop from University of Phoenix purely out of laziness and not wanting to put in the work. Sorry, but again I have seen way to many people at this point complain about papers all because they couldn't understand basic directions or pay attention to the assignment deliverable. This is college, whether it is online or not, you have to read, watch any videos provided, study, contribute, participate and communicate in order to do well. I have had plenty of classes I did not like because of the topic at hand and i have also had professors that were very intense and fickle about how things had to be, but you adapt, you figure it out, because that's what you do in the real world. If you are not willing to put in the work it is not a schools problem, it is absolutely yours. This school challenged me and I am thankful for those tough classes and teachers because I actually learned.

I am unsure what rating to give this school. I have just started here and so far it is cool. The thing I have a problem with is the finances. I am a veteran and I am using my education benefits so of course I receive bah but the school only reports a certain amount of days out of the month to the VA even though I full time therefore I do not receive my full bah amount. Honestly I find their online forum to be betrer than most online schools. I llike rhe structure of everything but what is upsetting for me is the financial aspect. More importantly the lack of assistance should things become difficult. I am a full time stufent while workikg full time in an executive management position. Read More finish and earn my bachelors degree in business management, and am to the point where i have to pay some oop for courses as federal aid onmy gives so much. I ended up with a $3k balance which was hard to lay as a single working woman, took me a while but i was able to borrow from family and get it paid. I was out of school for a year, now that it is paid and trying to get back in they are not helpful at all. So basically they collect over $30k on my behalf, i dont have a degree and now they ignore and are not helping or responding so i can get back in class? Just seems like very poor business practices and a lack of care as to the education process. I mean lets be honest over $30k is ridiculous pricing for an online school anyway so to abandon students at the tail end because they took a little time to pay a balance that truthfully i dont even know why i would owe. The federal funding they get should be more than sufficient to pay for the full degree program with nothimg out of pocket. Dissapointed in their business practices. But i have no choice but to beg these people to respond and get me back in class since i and the government has invested way too much at this point. Just beware. If you are looking for a school to attend online i woild not pock UOP you will likely regret it and you may end up laying without ever earning the degree. Check your local colleges for online schooling or other online schools.
