The University of Phoenix is the perfect school for an adult who is pursuing higher education but does not have the time to attend the conventional school. Because of the global demand for technology online is a great place to learn the use of technology for group chat and team meetings. The different time zones in the class and team setting give a real-life feel for the real world, especially when dealing with overseas countries to conduct business. I graduated from UOP in 2006 with a Bachelor's Degree in IT. That degree helped me obtain a great IT position in management. Fast forward many years later, I signed up for their online MBA program because of the wonderful experience I had as an undergrad, and the fact that their MBA program will definitely allow me to grow professionally. This school is fantastic and I have nothing but great praise for them. Their B.S. program was amazing and I was able to apply what I learned in class to real world... Read More

University of Phoenix, despite its often unpleasant perception, is a good school. The professors on campus were knowledgeable and showed true interest in the students. The online facilitators were always available via email/phone and provided real-life examples of the course work. I appreciate how engaged the enrollment and curriculum advisors were -- there were regular and consistent check-ins throughout my entire program lifecycle.

It was very convenient. I found most of the class challenging. The biggest obstacle was coordinating team projects with people in other time zones.

College is beneficial. The bachelor's degree is now the new 'high school diploma'. It is a necessary evil for job growth and supporting a family outside of trade jobs.

college is all about what you choose to make of the exprience. If you choose to be lazy and not put in the work, you will not be successful.

The school offers online classes which was huge for me.It allowed me to set my schedules and I believe I was able to learn a lot. Poeple fear that not being in a class and have the ability to ask questions can be a problem, but as a student I read material and felt confident in my abilities to complete the assignments and instructors were always accessible

UofP is definitely what you make of it. You get the most out of interacting with your fellow students and instructors. Drawing on the knowledge and experience is key to success.

If you have the time, going to local school is the best thing. Online schools are great, but it's also good to have a that local interaction with your classmates.

UofP provided me with a great online platform to obtain my degree on my time. I am a single mother of 2, working full-time, so I needed to be able to do my schoolwork when I found free time, usually late at night or very early in the morning.

While I can certainly take responsibility for getting out of my program what I put into it, due to cost and quality of education I cannot endorse this school.

I had fun getting my education, it was a challenge but with focus time flew by. My goal was only to get my bachelors but went as far as a masters. I will say that the debt is sizeable and I would try to pay as much out of pocket as possible. If i could do it all over again I may have chosen a different degree or add some classes they recommended for me to have security certification and now my positions are limited. Do I regret it no it was an accomplishment but I would have been smart about it.

When I was diagnosed with Mantle Cell Lymphoma, Stage 4, in June 2012 and had to go through six cycles of chemotherapy, University of Phoenix let me cut down my online class load to one class. They worked with me throughout this hard time in my life.

I have obtained my Bachelor of Science in Information Technology and I am currently working on my Master of Science in Information technology at U of P. Since obtaining the Bachelor of Science degree I have become more valuable to my employer(s) and I regularly receive calls from large technology companies in the Las Vegas and Phoenix areas for potential employment. I am not saying its because of my U of P degree but the type of positions I am being recruited for do require at a minimum of a Bachelor's... Read More
