Taking classes online was more convenient for me because of the cost, I do not have to drive to and from campus. I also attended this university in the past and earned an associate and bachelor degrees.

Its a great place for working men and women to get back into school, and a great program to really sharpen a professional. Had I started my Masters right out of undergrad I would have preferred to attended a physical location with more hands on learning.

Classes at the University of Phoenix are quick, but very educational. I have learned so much in the last year of college in a short amount of time. This is a great way to go for a full time mom and full time employee. I feel this is a great place to get an education in while still working.

Pros are online convenience. Cons are bachelor's program involves ONLY working in teams for each class. Team work is not productive and students do not seem serious.

The quality of the instruction is very uneven. We have some professors who are passionate about their teaching, some who are competent, and some who are clearly just collecting a paycheck. The recent "upgrade" to a new online classroom was ill-advised and very poorly executed. They also seem to have a very high turnover among their support personnel. I've been enrolled since September, and I have three academic and four financial counselors.

The largest factor was the marketing program; and the familiarity of the graduate program as a whole.

I wanted to attend an online school, because of my work schedule and I believe online learning is the future of education. There are advantages, such as, it teaches me discipline with learning, the school requires interaction with other students and realistic subject matter. The downside is the world still has not caught up to see online education to be equal to the brick and mortar education. But over all, graduate school has answered the age old question of, "when will I ever use this stuff". In... Read More
