Degree: MBA in Human Resources
I highly recommend University of Phoenix for furthering their education. The classes at UOP are challenging and rewarding. Each class along with student/instructor interaction allowed me to broaden my thinking. I learned a lot and will continue classes at University of Phoenix in order to reach my goals.

University of Phoenix allowed the flexibility to get my MBA but also still take care of my family by working full time! I appreciate the options to study at night and the learning team assignments allowed me the training I needed to be successful at work while working with others.

I really enjoyed Phoenix online, after talking with a few of my other friends that attended school online I found that Phoenix followed up and worked more with their students than other online schools. I felt the personal connection was important and made my education process easier and more comfortable.

I received two degrees from UOP. I sorry to say but my life went downhill after I completed my DBA. There are very few organizations that acknowledge the school. My pastor mentioned that the school lost it's accreditation. I'm unemployed at the moment and only mention my BS degree used by Cleveland State University. My many years working at the city of Cleveland didn't pay off because six months after I 'paid' for my DBA I got laid off. Took a position at minimum wage for one year. Seven months later... I was nearing retirement, however the company I worked for paid my full tuition. Since I retired early, and was too young to sit around, I entered the world of independent consulting. My experience at UP helped me to be successful. I cant tell you that I no problems with any of the instructors or the way that UP operates. I took several difficult classes including statistics - and I can tell you, it is like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. I studied hard, did my assignments... Read More

I am a recent graduate of the UoP's MBA program. I understand that everyone has their right to their opinion but I have nothing but good things to say about UoP. I was offered a full ride scholarship through B and G of America. This was a great opportunity because I was thinking about going back to school but thought I just didn't have time. I went did both ground and online classes.
The instructors for both were some of the best I have had. Most had their Ph.D with a ton of experience to go along... Read More
I would say that no matter where you go to school it is up to you to research if classes are going to transfer (most university only take up to a certain about of transfer credits anyway), what amount of financial aid is available (there is no grant money for Master degrees it is all student loans), and instructor information. It is up to you to be responsible for your own education in every aspect. If you know you don't want to get in debt behind school apply for scholarships.
I don't agree with the reviews on this website. I feel the responsibility of your education is on you and what you do with it after you receive it is also up to you. No one is going to give you a job in this economy based solely on where you receive your degree. You have to sell yourself and be confident of who you are.
