I would highly recommend the competency program, but only to someone who was sufficiently disciplined to ensure that they stay on task. I learned a great deal. Professors were available and proactively helpful, and sought to ensure I achieved the learning required in each course.

This was my third degree program that I've obtained from UOP. The staff has been amazing at providing continued support, a listening ear and have provided endless motivation and pep talks to push me forward during all of my moments of discouragement, as well as when I wanted to give up. Most of all they have celebrated me while I've accomplished milestones and always provide options and valuable recommendations and feedback.

I am currently still in school, completing my last class. I returned to University of Phoenix after maybe 17 years of not being in school. Upon starting, my marriage was in shambles, divorce was underway , I wasn't working and couldn't find work. Consequently, I needed a new focus, I needed a new motivator so I enrolled and it was the best decision that I could've made, I am not only completing my MBA but I am making myself more marketable in the job market. I have been on a 40-year higher education journey. I graduated from High school in 1985. I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration in 2007 from the University of Phoenix. I am scheduled to graduate in September 2025 with my Master's degree in Business Administration. I would highly recommend the University of Phoenix to all working adults. The online Master's program has been incredible since I am working full-time. The professors are wonderful.

Going back to school after being out of school for the past 4 years was a little bit scary for me in the beginning. I did not know what to expect with getting my master's degree. I was also unsure about the direction I wanted to take with my degree. As I progressed in the program, I've met some amazing teachers and advisors online who helped me along the way. They've pointed me in the right direction on ways to explore what I can do with this degree. The classes have not been the easiest, but manageable.... Read More

I have had a very great experience with University of Phoenix. It has taught lot about business and the instructors were very hands on even though it was an on-line class I was able to correspond with them when I had a question or needed something. I will recommend this program to anyone who is a full-time mom with a full-time job and would like to become a full-time student.

Horrible experience, I could never get a callback and or clarification on what I needed. Would change depending on who you spoke to. I would be assigned different counselors and no one would reach out after the first attempt. Actually many times I didn’t know. I had a new counselor until I would call until trying to get clarification. Unnecessary classes is taken.

My master’s program was a great experience. It was very flexible, which helped me manage school, work, and personal life all at once. The classes were well-organized and focused on real-world skills that I could use right away in my job. I liked that the lessons encouraged problem-solving, and thinking like a leader.

I am unemployed! I earned my MBA and thought using the career services through the school would get me noticed but a lot of the jobs were expired or not relevant. I didn't earn an MBA to be a financial adviser or a sales representative! These are the only jobs that reached out on Handshake. My student loan payment is due soon and I have no job!!!!!!

The University of Phoenix provided me with the professional credentials required to advance in my career and contributed to my ability to earn significant income. The UoP was a pioneer at educating working professionals at a time when traditional schools were highly dismissive of the needs of students unable to commit themselves to full-time on campus learning. The online format is not for working individuals. The Blackboard does not work well and the instructors don't know how to use it which leads your assignments to be turned in late because of the wrong date being published on blackboard. Also most of the time you can't view all of the assignments so you get marked a Zero because you could not see it from your end. If you try to view instructor feedback you might not be able to see it. How can you learn in this environment. Learn how to use your resources... Read More

I am very unsatisfied with my instructor. Instructors seem to have little sympathy or empathy for what their students go through on a personal level. This school is just interested in taking your money. Communicating with instructors is like communicating with a robot.

I'm suspecting fraud at the University of Phoinex. I'm retired Air Force and I'm in the process of completing my last class of the MBA program. I'm currently enrolled at the Chicago ground campus. After several calls I finally was told that the UOP lost its certification for Illinois ground campuses. However all of my instructors told me that the school was closing due to low enrollment. I'm coming to the community for assistance because my status has been changed from "active full time " to "active,... Read More
