Read More found them to be highly valuable in personal real estate investment. The classes that related to technical and legal matters were less useful. I found the on campus method of instruction, with team-based assignments, to be less useful. Although the team-based education method replicates a corporate environment, there was such a vast differentiation in skillset among team members which led me to frequently take the lead on preparing and presenting material. Occasionally, others were even more inspired and took the reigns. Invariably, there were 'stragglers' who offered little other than their presence and continued breathing to the 'teamwork.' I should note that the University of Phoenix degrees I attained were not respected in the corporate workplace. While they were expedient as a 'check the box' credential, they were widely mocked by graduates of better schools, particularly early in my career when people cared about degrees. I subsequently worked hard to replace these with credentials from better schools when the notion of online education became more widely adopted.

The online format is not for working individuals. The Blackboard does not work well and the instructors don't know how to use it which leads your assignments to be turned in late because of the wrong date being published on blackboard. Also most of the time you can't view all of the assignments so you get marked a Zero because you could not see it from your end. I'm suspecting fraud at the University of Phoinex. I'm retired Air Force and I'm in the process of completing my last class of the MBA program. I'm currently enrolled at the Chicago ground campus. After several calls I finally was told that the UOP lost its certification for Illinois ground campuses. However all of my instructors told me that the school was closing due to low enrollment. I'm coming to the community for assistance because my status has been changed from "active full time " to "active,... Read More less than part time" and the VA responsible for paying for my classes have billed me, stating that the campus (that I've been attending EVERY MONDAY" was closed effective 1December2017. I've tried contacting the school however I'm convientky disconnected whenever I'm transferred to the Admissions department. Is there anyone available to give me feedback on how to proceed. As of today I've been attending the Chicago ground campus. My enrollment status has been changed and the Va /911 Gi bill has told me that I will have to pay back the money that has been paid to UOP after 1 Dec 2017, which is when The UOP lost their certification to hold ground campuses in Illinois. The school admin Dept is giving me the run asking, I keep getting disconnected when I call for assistance . Any advice will help.
