Everyone has been so helpful from the time I first enrolled until now. I received accommodations for my classes; my professors were so understanding. My advisors and support frequently checked in to make sure I was staying on track to graduate on time. This is a great school - they want to see you succeed.

I have attended UoP for almost 7 years now. I loved it and completed all the courses. It's when I got to the part where I wanted to intern at a school. The staff that were set to "help" me couldn't even get my name right. I got several confusing emails addressed to the wrong person. They gave instructions to complete papers and requirements. I figured no biggie, well then they told me I could not turn certain papers in without approval, then back tracked when I got mad because nothing was apporved... Read More

I have not had any problems with UoP. I am a veteran, and I have not had any issues with the VA GI Bill payouts or anything like that. My financial/veterans advisors was really helpful when I was registering, and she called me back and called me a lot to stay on the ball to my surprise. They have tried to find me scholarships, even in Master's level, which is really going above and beyond. My academic advisors have been helpful, and they stay in contact and go over the goals/milestones of my degree... Read More

I take classes all online through the University of Phoenix online program. I live in Anchorage, Alaska and work as a substitute teacher full time in an RTI setting classroom. I am very happy with my University and the flexibility it offers. I sign onto classes whenever I can and assignments are due on Monday of every week. I am required to do field experience observation hours which prepares me for having my own classroom upon graduation. I take one class at a time which lasts six weeks. This is... Read More

The University of Phoenix has been a great school to fit my busy life style. I am able to attend class while also attending my daughters events. The teachers that I have encountered are helpful and are available to answer questions. There are also many resources that the campus provides. Students are able to ask questions and receive answers from other students and staff which creates a community.

The University of Phoenix has shown a genuine interest in its students by always having available resources to guarantee success. As a graduate student, their vigilance towards ensuring that I have all the tools I need before, during, and after each class sets them far above most online programs. I would and will most certainly recommend the University of Phoenix to anyone looking to further their education.

Some of the pros of attending the University of Phoenix are that you do not fill overwhelmed. This is because you only take one class at a time that is only six weeks. One of the cons is that many of the classes require you do a group project. Having to trust others with your grade can become stressful.

Online programs are extremely flexible, and being a single parent, this was the only way that I could have continued my education. On the other hand, my degree program requires hands-on experience in order to gain true perspective and experience and this is hard with online school. Regardless, I am grateful that I have taken this step toward financial independence for both myself and my daughter, and I am proud of my accomplishments. I look forward to continually being a lifelong learner and am anxious... Read More

The program is exceptionally easy for students who are looking for a simple program. I am able to attend school while continuing to be a stay-at-home Mom to my exceptional needs child. The program helps me to learn what is needed to be successful and help my son to achieve as well.

I really have enjoyed going to school online. I have been able to obtain my AA and BA and now I am working on my Masters in Special Ed while working full time, raising a family, and keep up with all my activities. The staff has been fantastic and helped me in every step of the process.

The Special Education graduate program at University of Phoenix is a lot of work! I was afraid that it may not be comprehensive enough but I was wrong. I learn so much in my classes. It is taught so that you thoroughly investigate and explore each topic so that you feel comfortable and well versed in the subject matter. I know I will feel prepared for my career at the end.

Overall, I was pleased with UOP until I had to finish a teaching practicum class. I had already taught for five years in the public school system and felt this class was unnecessary. I found myself working for the public school system for free and knowing more than the teacher's who were suppose to help me. However, the teachers did a wonderful job giving appropriate assignments and helping find resources to complete tasks given.

I believe that my graduate program has been a great experience. After speaking with others about their experience with other programs, I find that my program satisfies all the needs for someone graduating in the education field. The program is streamlined to transition you from student to professional. I have gotten compliments about my skill level and work ethic from other teachers when I come into their classroom. I owe that to the University of Phoenix. They have prepared me to take on a job in... Read More

I liked the online program. The availability of coursework and the convenience of completing schoolwork when I could, was worth the higher tuition than another college that requires a commute. The instructors were always helpful and very friendly.

The pros are that the courses are online, but still challenging. I feel like I am gaining an educaition while I was skeptical of attending the university of Phoenix. Cons are that I was miss-informed on the TEACH grant when I applied and agreed to attend. Now I need additional funding to pay for my classes since I do not have the current out of pocket to pay.

The online program has allowed me to continue working and care for my adult disabled son as well as attend classes. The graduate online program has allowed me to fulfill a goal and dream even as an older student, over 50. The online program is fantastic, I have a 3.89 GPA going into student teaching, while being able to continue to work full time. The online program has allowed me to fulfill a dream for my late husband for me to complete my teaching credential, not to mention that my deceased parents... Read More

I love my graduate program because I have had the opportunity to network with colleagues from all over globe. My life has been enriched by these experiences. My professors have been professional and truly care about my educational success. Their shared experiences have made my course load far more fulfilling. I wish I could attend a traditional class with my team mates and professors. I feel by actually interacting in person, I could draw upon this experience to the fullest.

The pro is that I am able to teach and be with my students while obtaining my degree, the con is that there is so much information, having to work full time is difficult to absorb it all.
