I graduated from this program in Mental Health Counseling but the program went drastically downhill after the change in administration in 2018. During that time many long term professors left the school and they hired many adjuncts of variable quality. Some professors were g re at and some very unprofessional. This is a mediocre school and master's counseling program, at best. The university has been advertising and growing too fast to keep up and most online students are treated like numbers, not actual paying students. The financial aid department is a terror and when calling in you will receive someone who basically just answers the phone but knows little about the complexities of the system. For that you will need to email the financial aid department and then you will receive mostly vague answers,... Read More if you are lucky. Most have terrible grammar and do not even know their own website information. If I had it to do again I would have chosen another CACREP university that offers online degrees. My experience at this one was not worth the aggravation of the red tape system and the fact that the school cares so little about the online graduate students.

When I began the program at UC, it was great. It has a few bumps here and there, but the cost and online schedule made it completely worth it. And then the administration changed. Suddenly, there were new rules in the middle of semesters without warning, the new person doing the scheduling got the semesters all messed up and despite this being my last semester, the graduation requirements have suddenly changed. I cannot get the equipment ordered in time, so I will be docked a quarter of my full grade. I likely won't be able to graduate. Most of the good, full time professors have quit since the admin change and have been replaced with part time professors who are unresponsive and don't seem to care and/or don't seem to quite know what they're doing. What an expensive nightmare of a mistake this turned out to be.
