Degree: MBA in Information Systems

If you are self motivated and can learn by reading and paying attention to teachers notes. Then it is a great school.
If you need personalized help or instructors who are with you all the time.. this is not the right school.

I got through very fast, the teachers helped when I needed and the only downside was during capstone. Holidays made the grading push out a day or so.

I loved it.. I work at Microsoft

Degree: MBA in Information Systems

Most of the core courses for Western Governors are paper writing. You don't learn anything about the subject for which you want to get a degree. You get an assignment that will take 2-3 weeks to complete. The assignments are a few years old. They just get recycled every term. Courses like this are why employers are skeptical about hiring people with online degrees. The information given in this course is something you could do on your own and save money. These courses also do not take it into consideration... Read More

In November, I graduated from WGU with my second degree from this university, I received my MBA in information technology management, this statement alone does not tell the story of why I love this school. So, to accurately express why I love this school I need to give some background about me. I am a 42-year old husband and father of two boys and one girl. I have a full-time job and busy personal life with one child in middle school, one in high school and one in college. All of my kids have busy... Read More

Degree: MBA in Information Systems

I graduated from WGU with a MBA in Information Technology. I received a technical bachelor degree from the University of Washington. Having gone through the experience of getting a degree from a traditional college and then one from an online university, I have to say WGU is not for everyone. WGU is a school for people who are very self motivated and don't need much hand holding. The course is also not easy. I will be honest, it took me 2.5 years to get my MBA IT degree and that is because I had... Read More

Degree: MBA in Information Systems

Western Govenors University is an excellent school. It seemed designed for me in that I do not live near a University that offers an MBA and uprooting to be near one did not seem to me to be a financially viable option. The course of study is challenging and requires a commitment on the your part to complete. You will work with a student mentor that will call you regularly and ensure your progress. This student mentor will have a degree at least equivalent to the one you are seeking. We set weekly... Read More

WGU is a great online university. It wasn't easy for me to get into the degree program. Two of my friends and I applied for it and I only got selected. This proves that the WGU selection criteria is too high. Also, this university is only for the self motivated people. The more efforts you put in the sooner you finish the degree. I would definitely recommend this university to others.
