They are amazing working with the military. They have clear expectations and are willing to accept CLEP as well as DSST examinations which is a huge help time-wise and financially. They were very clear with communication and that has not stopped as I have progressed into a masters program. They respond quickly and let me know exactly what I need to do in order to meet my goals. They have made higher education accesible to me as active and ex military and have let me manage my time at my will while pursuing higher education. Fantastic experiences for both under grad and grad school (in progress). Would 100% reccomend.

I have read several reviews that criticize the college. One such review stated it was just a way to get a rubber stamp degree. Others stated that you had to already know the information and just need a refresher. However, I must disagree with reviews similar to these. I held an AAS degree in Early Childhood Education when I started WGU. I have worked in the Social Service field for the past 20 years. I obtained a BS in business/human resources. I really knew nothing in regards to the business classes.... Read More I had to work and utilize all of the resources that were provided and then some. I hated accounting but I passed. I worked and worked at it. I attended webinars, I viewed recorded webinars over and over. There were several classes that I had difficulty with while enrolled. I talked with the student mentors on a few classes, more than once. I definitely think that online classes are harder than traditional classes but they are doable if you can be disciplined enough. Also, I usually obtained more than the required 12 cu's but not enough to finish very early. It took me two years. I used to get discouraged because I would see others that did have a background in business just breezing right through the courses, because as stated they knew the information. When I got to the human resource classes in my degree, I accelerated more than with any of the other courses, because I was more familiar with that aspect of the degree. Now if I had gone for the Education degree I may have accelerated more, but I wasn't able to do so because of the student teaching requirements as I work a full time job. I am considering going back for my Masters but I am a little scared. Because like I said I don't have a background in business. But I may after I take a year off. This school is not just a school. The staff makes you feel important and that they really care about your progress. Counselors will reach out to you often to check in, but if you have any question at all, you can call or email and someone will get back to you if not that day, by the following business day. The online courses are not as hard to learn as it may sound. Reading material, explaining your understandings, and relating to your current or previous experience is how you will learn. You all take turns volunteering to structure projects and set weekly team deadlines. Ive been with the University of Phoenix as an online student since 2012, when I was starting my associates degree. Now I am graduated with my bachelors degree and still attending the University of Phoenix to pursue my Masters degree. This school is so great, even my grandmother graduated with her degree from this school. It is easy to navigate on the system and enroll in programs. You are assigned a team of staff to ensure you are equipped with everything and all the tools you need to be successful. If you are considering an online school, go to the University of Phoenix, they will help you achieve your educational goals without any stress of hassle. I am grateful to be a Phoenix.

I have attended both a traditional brick and mortar state university as well as an exclusively online experience at SNHU, so I have a decent amount of experience in both settings. I knew plenty of very intelligent students when I was at a tradition brick and mortar university who would have likely struggled as an online student due to the lack interaction with the instructor. If you are the type of student that has to be in your professors office hours every week, online education might not be a great fit for you. Fortunately for me, online education is perfect fit for me because I enjoy learning and discovering new things on my own. There is no "right" way to to learn. Find the way the best works for you and run with it. I had some very good instructors and some not so good instructors at SNHU, but I had a similar experience with my instructors at a state university. For the most part, I have been impressed with the level of instruction from the adjuncts at SNHU. As a business major, I think learning from professional who are still active in the field is a terrific way to build business acumen. As I mentioned, some instructors are good and some are bad, but that's pretty much the same experience you're going to have at any university outside of the the top tier. One of the areas where I had an issue with SNHU was the quality of some of the other students in class. Since SNHU will admit just about anyone willing to pay the tuition, you get a lot of students in class who do not belong in a college classroom (virtual or otherwise). It is very difficult working on group papers with people who cannot write at a college level. I noticed that this wasn't as much of an issue as I progressed farther into my degree program, but even ran into this problem over the last few weeks in my final term. Overall, I have definitely had a positive experience with SNHU. Whether you attend SNHU or Stanford, college education is what YOU decide to make of it.

Very happy with the school and great for my career. Most of the lower reviews are whiners that think a university should hold your hand. This is not one of those schools. Figure it out, get it done, and move on. All the resources are there and YOU have to figure it out. It is not for everyone, but if you are busy, self-motivated, and independent you will do fine. I retired from the Navy and have been in my second career for 16 years. I am very trainable, well trained and educated. I have been with UoP for two and half years, with two classes remaining for my BS/Business Management degree. I have had nothing but great experiences since I started. I have been challenged in every class, it is far from being easy. To be honest I think there was more expected from me then a traditional college. The faculty is awesome. I have tried different colleges and have never finished any of them becauseI was a young mom with a full time job and being a high school dropout with little education didn't help. CTU has lifted me out of this spirit of feeling unsuccessful! I am very close to being finished and I have managed to keep my GPA up. WashU is an incredible place to meet smart, driven students and to learn from top tier professors. The business program does a fantastic job preparing you for a career, and focuses on opportunities to create local impact. The curriculum is diverse and the University does a great job bringing in guest speakers and partnering with local business to provide experiential opportunities. The facilities are top-notch and you will have every resource available to succeed. The only area that could be improved... Read More is career services. Relative to other schools with similar rankings and prestige, the career service does not offer as robust opportunities for on-campus recruiting. While some top banks and consulting firms recruiting there, WashU is less of a target school for recruiting than schools that are in the same "peer-group". While opportunities are still readily available the career services should push to become a target school for more prestigious opportunities to catch up with other schools

SNHU's online program lets you make up and finish a degree you started elsewhere fast. I would not recommend it as a four year program. The courses are all pre-fab and the faculty are all part-timers who do this on the side. They hardly know whats going on themselves. Its very much a mill and most instructors will pass you for the basic level work. There are some good courses, but its really a money making engine that tries to look legit. I hate to criticize because SNHU did help my finish my degree... Read More - I had horrible grades at 3 different colleges and they "accepted" me - its really open admission. While I did have to apply myself and stick with it, the papers are easy, there are no tests etc. I got A's on papers that honestly were not good. But, like I said, I was able to get the "degree" which I needed for my job.

After haphazardly running across this page, I felt compelled to write a comment. I was enrolled in another college pursuing a Multidisciplinary Studies degree. Yea, right, what is that. I had earned 100 credits and all I needed was 20 more credits to graduate but I was not satisfied with the degree. A friend of mine recommended Post University. I started Post University online in 2008 while serving in the military. I chose business administration with a marketing concentration. I lost 40 credits... I would rate it excellent but I have to tell you that I struggled at first. Being in the military as a Recruiting First Sergeant, I was extremely busy, traveling almost daily. The first year I didn't devote enough time to learn the system and I almost quit. Thank god I didn't. How would you rate the quality of instruction at your school? the instructions to me was clear and when I had a problem I communicated with my instructor. Every instructor I had was "top Notch". I encourage every student if they are not sure reach out to the instructor sooner rather than later. How would you rate your satisfaction with your degree program? I am so happy with my degree program. I learned so much. Once I got to the graduate level, every class really challenged me. I am retired now and I am a professional business plan writer and I used what I learned everyday. How would you rate your school's student financial services? I didn't really use the financial services that much because I had the GI Bill. I did mess up once and did't register in both the Army's system and Post online. I was charged for 2 classes but the financial advisor straighten it out in a timely manner. Finally I want to say to all the students that are giving this school a bad rating, I also would have given it a poor rating the first years and maybe the second. Once you learn the system "Dashboard, Whiteboard etc..", it will be much easier. Learn to use the library also, It will be a great help. They also have a great resume writing tool to help with your resume and someone to look it over and help out. Most of all, learn to communicate with the instructor. I hope this helps someone.
