Student Reviews of Online Psychology Programs
I was not aware of the TOTAL cost of tuition and if my aid and loans would cover it until after I had paid their registration fee. So, I found out directly after paying $55 that I couldn't even afford to attend. My financial aid advisor assured me they would refund the money. However, they have not made good on that promise. If you are looking at attending this college, do not pay the registration fee until they inform you of ALL tuition and fees.

As much as I would love to give Wichita State University an amazing rating, I'd be lying. My advisor for online education was AWFUL. I was supposed to graduate after Fall 2021 semester according to my advisor and credits. However, when I double checked to ensure completion of degree, I was informed I still had 2 semesters left. I had ended up taking classes that I did not need (advisor assigned). I wasted my time and money. When I inquired about taking extra courses to graduate on time, it was too... Read More

This means you have to do the work and put forth the effort or you wont get a good experience. This isnt my first school and just about any other school Ive attended, this one is no different. I attended APUS full time for four years to receive my bachelor's in psychology. The work was rigorous, and the assignments were time consuming but the objective was to learn and I exited with my degree confident in my knowledge. I met some amazing teachers attending APUS that changed my perspective, and although it gets difficult maintaining self discipline to turn assignments in on time and self-study, I do not regret my decision. It wasn't until I decided to pursue my Masters degree at a different... Read More

Enrollment specialists are very quick to get you enrolled, and afterward is when the problems begin. Poor communication on behalf of advisors results in delayed financial aid regularly. Advisors are also very impersonal and seem only to reach out whenever you contact them first, or something is wrong. The instructors are knowledgeable from what I've experienced, and you're expected to do a lot of reading which is excellent for most disciplined individuals. After careful consideration, I will be attending... Read More

I have had a great experience with Arizona State University thus far. I thought that taking classes only online would be difficult, but the staff at ASU make it easy to understand and provide plenty of helpful information to help students learn the material. The academic advisors, tech help, and those working in the financial aid department are always ready and willing to help answer any questions you have. They really go above and beyond the call of duty.

I love this school! All of these other reviews are complaining about lack of structure or teacher involvement which I do not get! A syllabus is provided the first day of class that clear lays out all of the expectations for the next 8 weeks. And, you cannot expect every teacher to be the same or have the same requirements. All I know is if you read the syllabus and do what you are supposed to when you are supposed to you shouldn't have any problems! I did have one negative experience with an instructor... Read More

I didn't even think I could get a degree and I ended up with two. Now signed up with other college for my master's and PhD.

I did not have a proper walk-through about the seriousness of what I was doing. I attended Ashworth College for my BS in Psychology. I wanted to become a Case Manager of some sort, at the time I had no idea what I wanted to do for my career. I finish my BS paying a little over $11,000 because of my extensions for work. I now work at Treatment Center (Substance Abuse) and I'm very please with my pay rate above $18 hr for two years now. I could not have achieved my career without my BS from Ashworth College.

Additionally I found the ease of using the various online systems to be an added bonus, coming from someone who is not technologically savvy!
