Saint Leo University (SLU) is a private, Florida-based university with 6,745 undergraduate students. As the state's very first Catholic education institution, SLU takes pride in its religious roots; however, its modern Catholic identity is focused on the "compatibility of faith and reason." What Are the Admission Requirements for Saint Leo?


SLU has rolling admissions, which means students can apply to college at any time throughout the year. Once accepted, there are six specific start times where enrollees are required to begin their studies.

  • Submit a government-issued ID. This can be either a driver's license, state-issued ID, or passport. 
  • Submit a high school diploma, GED, or secondary school transcript.
  • Send additional academic transcripts, including a chronological list of any schools previously attended as well as exam scores from Advanced Placement (AP) courses or other college-level courses. 
  • Finally, SLU asks to see proof of any professional training a student has completed (such as police training, non-traditional courses, or nursing programs).
