I would not recommend Ash U. 1st I have made mistakes with docs that are my fault. I take response for that. But when I enrolled my  advisor called me daily, he sent me emails, gave advice, and promised he'd always be available. Fast forward to after my probation period and my money was locked in. He disappeared. I emailed him 4 time the past 3 months, I called him 4 times, no returns at all. I asked someone else why and she said I have a new advisor who after 5 months of school never reached out... Read More or told me of her. That fine sort of, but why was the 1st guy promising to help me through my entire 4 years and doesn't even respond to me. They will put you in a column and you will only be a number to them. The problem is if I'm a just a number fine, just don't pretend to always help and respond so quickly until you get me locked in money wise only to be so unreachable. It's been a week and I still haven't heard from my new advisor since leaving her a voice message. I am having troubles and no one cares enough to invest a little extra time to help. I'm sure they will help eventually, but on their time and terms. only wish they showed true colors from the start. SO if you don't ever plan on running into trouble this school might work for you. But if you need transcripts, financial aid docs, or class assistance be weary. I am 1500 miles away from ash U. I would never let anyone go to a school you can only reach by phone again.

I really enjoyed my time with Florida Institute of Technology. The course work was not too challenging or overbearing if you are willing to do the work. I balanced a full time course load while working full time. I did the online applied psychology BA program. They offer a great military discount and they accepted almost all of my transfer credits! Sorry for the length of this. I am newly enrolled at Ashworth College, and I just passed my first class. I am a transfer student with half a bachelor's-worth of credits from regionally accredited schools. I am writing this solely to offer some advice when considering enrollment: Credits and degrees from DEAC accredited schools are accepted by many colleges and employers, and not accepted by others. I have done extensive job searching on job search engines as well as looked at a large number of colleges... Read More over the past seven years trying to figure out what I want to do, and have noticed that a handful of jobs require a regionally accredited degree, however, the majority of the time they just want an accredited degree. If you are considering graduate study, some colleges simply want a bachelor's degree from an institution that is accredited by a body recognized by the department of education, and some want it from a regionally accredited school. If you want to make sure your degree is recognized by all schools and employers, go for a regionally accredited college. If you don't mind certain employers and colleges not recognizing your degree or credits, then Ashworth is a very affordable as well as time-saving option (if you choose to work quickly). You can graduate in as little as six months. It is $79 per credit for the bachelor's degree program I am enrolled in. That is a very good price, as I was paying $300-400 per credit at the other schools I have been to. Also, I do not feel overloaded with coursework. So, the benefits of Ashworth are saving time and money, and also less of a headache when it comes to study load. The drawback is the lack of regional accreditation. I would say keep in mind when reading the bad reviews, that sometimes they are based on misunderstandings. People don't do their research or don't read the paperwork they signed or have one bad experience and go off on rants. Some good reviews are also based off of the rush of being a new college graduate and are posted by folks who have not gone on a job search or applied to grad school yet. Take every review with a grain of salt is my point, and do your research. Figure out what you need from a school, and what your plans are (job, grad school etc.) and make your college selection accordingly. For me, I am laid back about my job/career prospects and don't mind if certain employers and schools won't accept my credits/degree, as long as most of them will. If you are very particular about that, then pick a regionally accredited school. If you aren't, Ashworth is great. If you are concerned about the reputation of the school, then apply to Harvard or Yale or UC Berkeley. I just want my degree and to get a job doing what I love. DEAC accreditation is good enough for me since the department of education recognizes it. Some people need prestige or excellent customer service or less self-directed study and more structure. That is fine. I am not one of those people. Just consider what you want and need and don't believe everything you read without thinking about it or doing your research. Try going on Indeed or Glassdoor and running a job search in your desired field and look at the educational requirements for a good number of different jobs. Try going on websites of different universities and looking at their grad school admissions requirements. Make phone calls to those schools. So there. That is my two cents.

The thought put behind FlexPath is great. The instructors they have are the worst of any school online. They have no oversight of the instructors and the instructors do not follow the proceedures set forth by the university. There is no way for students to have a voice or appeal grades by the instructors. The instructors have a grade sheet to go by and they choose not to follow it and make you do three times the work for no reason other than they need to feel superior. Most of the instructors tend... Read More to get offended if you call them out on their mistakes. The Program is set up great. It is an amazing and outstanding program. The issues are related to the oversight of off sight instructors. It is a thin line of the program being worth it and dealing with the instructors. There is no way to choose or change instructors. There doesn't seem to be anyone in the middle. The instructors are either really bad or really good. I have had some of the best I have ever had but the bad ones have made the whole experience not worth it. I am switching out of FlexPath soon to have more control. I am military and will be writing a review and complaint to the tuition assistance and VA. Both of which take concerns more seriously than Capella. They will pressure and review school policies and keep members informed of the steps. Capella cannot even get their instructors to follow their program. I have actually had instructors where I turned the same exact paper in a week later and received a perfect grade and the week before received an "F". Shows they are just getting a paycheck not doing anything to help students. I will be trying to find a way to rate instructors and post for the horrible ones and the best ones.

I am middle of the road with this school. It was recommended to me by an associate that had just received her master's degree. I did not have the problems with financial aid, but I did get a new academic adviser about every three or four months, and I am not sure why. Aside from those stipulations, the real thing that left me up in the air was the education. Sometimes the "facilitators" or engaging and teach, other times they might as well not even be there. Some of these folks probably should take another run at high school before attempting any higher learning. I'm no Einstein, but the majority of UoP students put zero effort into their participatory posts and team projects (it worries me these people are entering the psychology field). I would spend hours backing my posts with research and it would often be discounted by a barrage of personal opinions or experiences that reek of Dunning Kruger effect. SO ANNOYING! It bums me out that I had to do online learning because I am stuck working and can not attend a brick and mortar school.

My teachers were wonderful very supportive and helpful. The feedback is excellent, my enrollment adviser was excellent, but my academic adviser was awful. I called to get feedback on what classes should I take for the next course and was told " just pick any". I never heard from my academic adviser until my 3rd term. IT is awful as well, financial aid was unhelpful and uncaring. I got my refunds on time which is hard to do with most schools. But now that I read all the negative reviews I will be... I completed the first two years of my degree at a public University (UWF) but had to transfer to the online format when we moved to another state. The classes were challenging and I did feel adequately prepared to transition into a different professional field. Initially I was skeptical about the need for an internship, but once completed I was better able to see its value. I am not a fan of discussion boards. Discussion boards expose one of the areas where I feel Liberty is most vulnerable to legitimate... Read More criticism. Many of the students simply cannot write well. I don't think this issue is confined to LUO as the same could be said about other colleges I've attended. Still, I believe that the standards should be higher with regards to written assignments. If you cannot write a cohesive sentence, you should not be admitted to college. It is that simple. I am also not a fan of the new trend that integrates "E Books" within the course. Students should have the choice, and should not be forced to purchase an electronic version if that is not compatible with their learning style. I've grown in my faith and my love for God since attending LUO, and just started classes at the Graduate level. I highly recommend LUO.

I have been a student with them for the past 4 years. I have not had any problems with them. They always checked on me when the end of my classes were getting close to make sure that I was ok for the next class. My financial adviser always kept me updated on what I needed to do. The classes are good but it just all depends on what you are willing to put into your education, but that is like with anything, you reap what you sow.
