Kent State is a quality school that has a diverse culture and a very quick graduate program that can get you on track towards your goals quickly.

The quality of the learning experience at Kent differs from other schools due to the diversity of the subjects. We are not just taught how to be designers but how to completely understand a building and how it functions, as well as its relationship with its complete surroundings. This helps us as students be more aware of the impact we make on the environment, the people, and the society as a whole.

The pros include strong professional practice classes, creative thinking processes, and theoretical design strategies. The cons include heavy workloads, lacking quantity of professors that provide a narrow framework of educators, and difficult time schedule that interferes with the ability to maintain a full time job to help support oneself during school.

The affordability matched with a distinguished faculty and accessible facilities makes Kent State a good choice for students, however, the breadth of cutting edge technologies and foci of studies makes one have to make serious compromises for a strong, increasingly digital, education in the 21st century.

The faculty and alumni are both great resources and easily accessible. Coupled with the ability to focus on specific areas of interest within the college, the M.Arch program offers a number of benefits to students while attending KSU and after graduation.
