University seems to hire any (unqualified) person who applies to teach the graduate courses. Professors are rude and condescending in their communication, especially when they don't know the answer to a clarifying question, which is nearly always. Professors are just proctors for predetermined course outlines, so they actually have no idea what they are doing, or how to answer a true question or learning opportunity. My passion for psychology is now just giving way to "just finish this course so... Read More you can get the MS after your name". Sadly, now the most unmotivating experiences of my education.

I finished my bachelor's and master's with this school, and next month I am starting on my second masters. I've been completely happy with my experience here. There have been a few minor annoyances, like a few teachers (out of about 40 that I've had) that were not great, and I thought the initial enrollment process was excessive. But it was totally worth it and most of the teachers are awesome. The work is challenging but not stressful. There has never been a problem with my financing in my five... Read More plus years with the school, and the advisers are extremely competent and helpful. I don't understand the reviews saying there are financing problems because that's the opposite of my experience. If you read the negative reviews closely, you'll see that most of them are written by people who haven't grasped basic grammar, spelling, and punctuation, and really just don't belong in college. This is why they are having bad experiences. It is not a reflection of the quality of the school. My bachelors degree from this school literally doubled my income.

I love Ashford University. This is my second degree earned here. The late night researching material, reviewing course documents, and typing long essays finally paid off. I complained a lot to family and friends because seem like I always had school work. The classes are challenging but rewarding and class interaction was a plus. I met some great people. I would recommend this school t anyone. Keep in mind with any online school YOU have to be self motivated to advance yourself and do the research and reading the material provided.
