Please understand that this review only reflects my own personal experience with Ashford University. I am halfway through my Maters degree in Education at Ashford University and I don not have any complaints. I actually am working abroad and they have been fantastic with getting in touch and understanding the logistic difficulties I may have and time difference issues I can face. The fact that the entire course is online including ALL books and resources is a life saver for me. My husband did his... Read More

I'm working on my second Master's Degree in Education, after having earned a Bachelor's Degree in English Language Learner Studies and a Master's Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology. I have nothing to say but good things about Ashford. The Instructors and the Academic/Financial Advisers work diligently to ensure my success. The materials are also excellent!

They lied to me about what my degree entailed, saying it would lead to teaching jobs. I found out towards the end of my degree that I wouldn't be certified in anything, and that they don't even offer certification at the school.

It is a great program. They keep up with your progress and the professors are very knowledgeable on the subject that they are teaching. Very great school and I would recommend them to anyone . They are very concerned about your grades and keep you from falling behind.

I was canvassed by Ashford University in 2012. Because of my interest in designing and reconstructing programs for diverse learner, the student advisor suggested I take a look at their Bachelors of Arts in Instructional Design. I was new to the online classroom environment but with the continued support from Ashford, I soon was a champ! The classes are challenging and interesting.. When I completed my BA in 2014, I was given a partial scholarship to continue with my graduate education. October 2016,... Read More

Great experience. I truly gained the knowledge and writing experience needed to enhance my current career in education. While any online program is demanding the consistent course structure was a great support for an online accelerated graduate program

They took $14,000.00 from me in a student loan and I only was allowed to take 2 classes. They drop me from the program and kept the money, please future recent students make sure you understand about those student loans that they keep pushing you to get because now I owe all the money to salie Mae and I don't have a degree to show for. I have contact Ashford university but they do not want to help me. Please learn from my mistake find a better university.

Pros- online was flexible and fit in with my busy schedule. The Professors were flexible too if an emergency prevented me from submitting my homework on time. Cons - Sometimes I felt like my Professors didn't really read my papers and just gave me a good grade. Then sometimes they graded really hard and nit-picked everything. I prefer the latter because it challenges me to do better. So, I would say that there isn't consistency in their grading.

The pros of my graduate program consist of: The program being entirely on-line, this gave me an opportunity to be with my family and work, taking one course at a time, the timely mannor in which the instructors would respond to questions. The program gave me an opportunity to get my Bachelors Degree and use it where I live in order to advance my position at work. Having the convenience to work at my own pace and set my own schedule as long as homework was turned in on time. Reading others threads... Read More

Ashford's Graduate programs are 100% online and offer the ability to complete a post-secondary degree while still working full time and managing other responsibilities. The staff is supportive and the quality of the education is decent.
