I enjoy the classes and some of the instructors. I only had 1 issue with an instructor, but overall, everything is going great. I would say my Academic advisor is not good. I've only spoken with him once, and I've been attending school for a year now. I have a great go-to person that I speak with anytime I have an issue, feeling stressed or depressed, and need a little advice to help keep me going. And that is Sarah Bessey or Besser, I can't remember her last name, but it's one of those. She is great... Read More and has helped me get through my first year. Overall, everything is great. I will say the classes are getting a little tougher, but I knew that, and I feel with the faith I keep, I won't quit because I've come this far and this is what I want to do.

I AM A STUDENT AT APUS. I HAVE JUST STARTED THIS YEAR AND SO FAR I LOVE THIS SCHOOL. I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH AND SO MUCH MORE THAN I DID AT THE OTHER 2 SCHOOLS I WENT TO. ALL I DID FOR 2 YEARS IS YOUR NORMAL READING, WRITING, AND ARITHMETIC, BUT HERE AT APUS SINCE DAY 1 WE WENT RIGHT INTO PSYCHOLOGY, AND ALL THE THINGS I HAVE LEARNED IN JUST A SHORT TIME ARE AMAZING. THE ONLY THING THAT IS SUCKS IS THAT IT SEEM TO ME THAT ALL I DO IS EASSYS 1 AFTER ANOTHER, I CAN NOT THINK OF 1 SINGLE DAY OR WEEK... Read More SINCE I STARTED THERE THAT I HAVE NOT WROTE A EASSY OR DID A PRESNETION OR BOTH AND IT IS SO TIME CONSUMING WHEN YOU STILL HAVE ALOT OF LIFE YOU GOT TO LIVE EVERY DAY AND NOT TO MENTION ALL YOUR RESPONSABILITIES OTHER THEN JUST SCHOOL AND TRYING TO KEEP THAT A/B AVERAGE(WHICH IS JUST VERY IMPORTANT TO ME) SO FAR I LOVE ABSOLUTLEY REALLY ENJOYED MY INSTRUCTORS OTHER THEN 1 and i swear you just can not do enough to try to get aleast 1 good comment from her. my other instructors made me want to do my class and made me want to do my work and even though its online she has made me dread signing onto my ecampus every day, however when you want a bachlors degree in psychlogy as bad as i do, you will do whatever it takes to do so. as far as fininacil aid goes I have not had a problem at all(super gtreat folks)My advior is pretty great as well. At my last school, the advisors called so much that it was almost harassment, but not at APUS, and that is very appreciated. So, would I recommend people to APUS? I would and I have because other than that 1 teacher, it's a great learning school! however if you sign up thinking you get to be lazy then you might want to go to a pushover school becaiuse you will work hard for what you want and if you dont want it as bad as i do then you might want to wait until your ready to change your life for you, your family and carere or what you have in mind when you graduate. I've read the other reviews and I'll just say the online degrees are not for everyone. It's a lot of reading and self teaching. For me this is perfect because I don't like being micromanaged and I can divide my time and learning according to my own schedule (mom of 3 here). I also have 9 years experience in my field (sales, banking, customer service, finance) so the material is interesting and repetitive for me so far. I like the 8 week terms because even though it's more rigorous, I only have to... Read More worry about 2 classes at a time instead of 4 or 5 at a time. It also motivates me to follow through; I'm better with mini goals instead of long term commitments. I do like the incorporation of biblical world view. This is one of the main reasons I chose this college. It is a bit of extra work on top of the rigorous 8 week terms, but it's important for me in my personal life to include God in everything. For people complaining about response times from professors and difference of opinions, this is actual real life experience you are getting. I've worked in the corporate world where there are deadlines, slow response times, and different personality types. You need to find what works best in helping you navigate each class and each professor. It this isn't possible, accept your average grade and do better next time or move on to a different college that better fits your needs (and I mean this in the nicest way possible <3 )
