Although ENMU has a traditional brick-and-mortar campus, it offers more than 30 fully online programs as well. Distance learners can enroll in online bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. ENMU even offers online graduate certificate programs for career advancement. 

ENMU is a legitimate, accredited institution. Accreditation simply means that an agency routinely reviews the school’s accounting practices and academic programs to ensure they are ethical, meet high standards, and deliver on promises to students. Specifically, ENMU is accredited by the, an institutional accreditation agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Several of its degree programs are programmatically accredited as well.

ENMU is the state’s , and it's known for being ethnically diverse. In fact, ENMU is a federally designated Hispanic-Serving Institution and a member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities. Thirty-six percent of its student body identifies as Hispanic.

It is somewhat difficult to get into EMNU because it only accepts 51% of applicants and requires submitting entrance exam scores. Applicants accepted for admission have combined critical reading and math SAT scores ranging from 950 to 1160 and ACT scores between 17 and 23. 

In general, ENMU admission requirements are comparable to any college or university. However, ENMU distinguishes between first-year students applying directly out of high school and adult learners over 25, who have graduated high school but have less than 24 college credit hours to transfer. 

In general, first-year students who are under 25 need to submit the following information to be considered for admission:

• A free 
• A completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
• An ENMU scholarship application
• Official high school transcripts or a GED certificate
• Entrance exam scores

Adult learners over 25 should also submit college transcripts, if available. It does not appear that they need to submit entrance exam scores.
