Student Reviews of Online Healthcare Management Programs
I would not waste your time or money. After $10K I have nothing to show for it, and it’s not for lack of effort. I busted my butt in every single class, like most other people. I work a full time job, try to maintain a normal life, and study as much as possible. 1 class kept me from getting my degree, 1. I attempted to take the exam 3 times, and it didn’t matter if it would’ve been an open book exam, the material never matched what I was studying. The PA was zero help and didn’t even line up slightly... Read More

I recommend American Intercontinental University to everyone since it is a very affordable and high-quality institution that is trying to provide the best education to its students. Because of COVID, I lost my job but I still wanted to study and use the time available as much as possible. I am pursuing my MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management from AIU and I am happy with the format since it allows me a lot of flexibility in how I choose to study. I like the way the assignments are provided... Read More

I was in the online M.S. in Healthcare Management program. It was a great experience - very flexible, good professors, interesting classes - especially the ones taught by Professor F. It's an especially good program if you're interested in cost management and quality improvement. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about these areas without having to go to a classroom.

I did a lot of research before choosing Western Governors University. The many positives outweigh the cons by far. Here is just a few. The pros: 1). It's accredited 2). Available online, so very convenient for the many of us who work full time 3). One of the least expensive graduate programs out there The cons: 1). For those who need a classroom experience, the online approach isn't the way to go. They assign a "mentor" with weekly calls to keep you motivated but you still have to keep yourself motivated.... There needs to be a better use of technology. I have to use a land line or my cell phone for the audio portion of my class. Sometimes this means excessive phone charges that are not calculated into the expense of the course. Thus this is not a fully online or virtual class.

I chose Brandman's MBA program because they have a partnership program with my employer and that made it less expensive. More importantly, I did not want to sacrifice income to get a graduate degree, and I needed the flexibility of an on-line program because I frequently work late and on the weekends. On that score, I am happy I attended Brandman because in all likelihood I would otherwise not have pursued a Masters degree. There were some real frustrations, however. The professors did not provide... Read More

The school is a non-profit university and the tuition is very low. If you finish all classes for semester and have time to complete another class you can do so without adding expense to that semesters tuition. Some of the resources need to be updated in my opinion. They are constantly adding ground campuses in other states. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The Saint Leo MBA Healthcare Management program offers a real-world approach to business education. I had not previously received an undergraduate degree in business, so going into the program I was a little apprehensive. But due to the overwhelming support of SLU advisors and faculty, I immediately became apart of the online learning community. The course work challenges you to use your current knowledge and real-world experiences in order to complete discussions and it is especially gratifying... Read More

I can not speak to the aspects of the campus or surrounding areas due to my enrollment in the online program. The online classes provide lots of student diversity and interaction. The use of Collaborate to have weekly online discussions with my colleagues is as close to being in a classroom as it gets which is extremely helpful for someone like me who is transitioning from on campus to online education. The workload depends on the course but is challenging with real life application. One of the cons... Read More

Professors are very interactive. Even though this is an online program, they make aure that we interact with our classmates. We are included and invited to on campus events, which makes me feel apart of the school. I have taken other online programs before and I have felt detacted even when I have went on campus, I dont feel that way with the eMPH program here. Staff are very knowledgeable and connected in the field. Great program!

Liberty University is a great school to attend for my MBA because I can take classes that meet my schedule. My husband is in the military making it hard to find a school that can transport to anywhere in the world. Liberty is helping me live my dream while he serves our country. I was really worried about the Christian viewpoint of the school since I do not follow religion closely but the professors are there to help as requested. So far the religion aspect has not been overwhelming.

Could not answer the security question because this is an online course. The instructors are quite helpful. Just sometimes wish phone hours were more often for questions while doing the assignments.

I have found the classes challenging and the instructors knowledgeable and inspirational. Pursuing my Masters Degree in Health Care Administration with University of Phoenix - Online has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. Although I am able to pursue gainful employment one of the drawbacks has been the struggle to juggle family time with the time needed to study and complete my assignments. However, were it not for the opportunity to pursue my degree online, I would never be able to continue... Read More

All of the classes are online which makes feedback from the instructor or team a little hard because you must wait for a response before completing an assignment. The up side is that the work is done at your own pace, sometimes you can complete a lot of assignments and sometimes you can only complete one per day. What I have noticed is that there are not a lot of Heath care Administration jobs available nor mentors for this field. I do how ever like most of the instructors who were on campus for... Read More
