I am about to finish my BSN at Aspen. I have taken online classes at other universities, but I felt that Aspen does a better job. Each class is set up into doable modules which you work through one week at a time. There is a lot of material to work through though, so it does take work. Do not think that you can coast through the program because each class has discussions and some sort of major assignment such as a paper or Powerpoint presentation that will need to be done on a weekly basis. In nursing... Read More it has become increasingly important to have a bachelors degree, so I am glad that I chose this program. I expect that it is more work than attending a local school, it offers much more flexibility. Financially they have a monthly payment plan which I like, they were cheaper than other school that I considered, and they made an effort to reduce the financial burden of the degree. For example, they supplied me with even lower cost alternatives for completing credits. I already had a fair number of credits, so to get my degree I will need to finish 10 classes and then take the final examine. I am almost done, and I have been pleased with the experience.

I love Ashford University. I have been in the Psychology program for a year almost. I expect to graduate in 2019. This school is WASC accredited and the classes are very in debth. I would recommend this school to anyone who is a motivated self starter. You have to be able to keep up with a fast paced class. The instructors are very knowledgeable and these classes you learn a lot. I work hard to get a good grade and you definetly need to stay on top of your studies. My counselors are very informative... Read More and supportive. This school is a little expensive but it is worth the quality you are paying for. Overall I rate this school with 5 stars.

I attended the Utica University ABSN program in Syracuse from 2022-2023. I am now a NYS RN working in Pediatrics. Although the beginning of my experience at Utica’s ABSN site was a bit rocky, adjustments were made throughout the program with the intent to foster a positive and enriching environment for future nurses. Like all other areas of nursing, nurse educators are constantly seeking ways to improve teaching/learning outcomes, student success, and student satisfaction. I believe that the ABSN... Read More program at Utica’s Syracuse site not only prepared me to successfully complete the NCLEX-RN, but also allowed me to immerse myself in situations that contributed to my growth as a new grad RN. The improvement of this program from 2022 to 2023 is profound. Although the beginning was rough due to certain components of the program, students’ voices were heard and changes were made to accommodate our needs and allow us to be successful. With that being said, nothing is perfect and nursing programs will always be a work in progress as new information becomes available daily. However, I do not think I would have received a better education anywhere else. Although I have a LOT to learn in the years ahead as a nurse, Utica’s ABSN program taught me valuable concepts and skills to develop my clinical judgment and gave me the confidence to enter the field without doubting myself or my abilities while also knowing my limitations and when to ask for help or address concerns. No nursing program is going to be easy and there are always going to be obstacles along the way but now that I’m on the other side I can confidently say that this program was amazing and I wouldn’t be where I am today without those experiences.

Great school academically. Beautiful campus. For the most part a great school. The administrative offices is what makes the school horrible. Noone at this school is familiar with the meaning of customer service. There is no administrative office that is interested in helping you. They REFUSE TO ANSWER the phones (financial aid, student accounts, registration). On the phone, your call is DEFINITELY going to voicemail. When you go to voicemail you can't leave a message because the voicemail is going... Read More to be FULL. They have this department emails for you to send an email to and you will NEVER get a response from one of those emails. It takes a miracle to get a response via email or phone. It's a shame such a great school is ruined by customer service. It's so frustrating that you can't reach anyone. I hope the president or the board reads this message and bring about some changes. Hire more people if necessary. Take a survey to see that I'm not the only one and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!! Please. It'sTerrible!

If I knew what I know now I wouldn't go to chamberlain college of nursing Houston campus. The program at Houston campus constantly changes with testing. Students are making it as far as capstone courses and being kicked out the program with nothing to show for it. This is a for profit institution and all it's really doing is bleeding people out of there money through financial aid and out of pocket expenses. Students are too focused on trying to pass a class when we should be focused on just getting... Read More a foundation and prepare for NCLEX. I think people/students get this idea that chamberlain is the type of vocational school, like ITT tech, or UTI and just like those schools you pay and your guaranteed to graduate. Like those schools they get you to the finish line. Because that's what your paying for. That's what "for profit" school system is suppose to do! Chamberlain doesn't operate that way. My suggestion is go somewhere ALOT cheaper for the same degree or even less amount of time and get your BSN. Lots of the students think, even myself believe it would be almost as quick just getting an LVN in a year, work and gain experience, go back to school somewhere for 9 months or less and get your BSN and the hospital may even pay for most at least half of it. And you'll you end up spending way less then coming to chamberlain. On the positive side some of the teachers actually understand the issues at chamberlain and really go out there way to help students. And it seems that the teachers are bound to whatever it is the chamberlain mandates. Another issue some of the better teachers are or have left the school. I whole heartedly regret coming to this school and currently looking for ways to get out of this school. And that's another thing. The school won't let you transfer to another chamberlain school that's better! Like who does that! The fact that, that's even aloud is ludicrous. The school is also on probation. My suggestion is just really do your homework. Consider all options, even the least popular route of going LVN/LPN.

Herzing University has improved so much in the two years I have been a part of the nursing program. Getting into classes and starting my degree was an easy process. The location I attend is conveniently located about 25 minutes from my house, and the instructors give their students a lot of attention because of the small class sizes.
